Dr LYNN VEITCH BVMS
Veterinary Surgeon
Lynn has worked in Cumbria as a mixed practice vet for over 10 years. Now based in the West, she is very excited to partner with Sophie and offer a high quality veterinary service to the people of West Cumbria. Lynn has a particular interest in dentistry and wound management. Lynn is very creative and loves a good social media post!
Dr SOPHIE MURPHY BVSc
Veterinary Surgeon
Sophie is a familiar face to many, born and bred in West Cumbria, with 14 years veterinary experience treating small animals. Sophie loves all aspects of her veterinary work, including both surgery and medicine, with a particular interest in skin disease. Sophie is kind, caring and looks forward to meeting you.

Veterinary Nurse
Qualified for 17 years, Sarah has a wealth of experience in all areas. Sarah’s immense passion and work ethic is inspiring to all. Sarah is a qualified clinical coach of nursing and even runs her own business ‘Pet First Aid Cumbria’ in between busy family life.
EMMA WHALLEY
Veterinary Nurse
A local qualified veterinary nurse for 12 years, Emma is highly experienced in all aspects of veterinary practice. Emma carries a certificate in emergency and critical care, and is currently studying for her diploma in canine behaviour.
Outside of work, Emma loves cross country running & enjoys walks with her family and two dogs, Rex and Tui.
MICHAELA WALLEY
Veterinary Nurse
Qualified for 9 years, Michaela gained valuable experience around UK hospitals, including the Royal Veterinary College in London working in the intensive care unit. Michaela is a fun, outgoing Cumbrian lass who loves to take Cara, her Australian Shepherd, on long walks on the fells.
ABBY STAMPER
Student Veterinary Nurse
Abby was brought up in rural West Cumbria and has a love for animals and the outdoors. Abby isn’t shy of hard work, she even has time for club secretary role at the local Young Farmers. Abby has many animals at home to care for; Jed and Ruby the dogs, Willow the cat, Dotty, Minnie and Flame the sheep, to name just a few.
EMILY JENKINSON
Veterinary Nurse
Emily qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and loves the variety and challenges that nursing brings on a daily basis. Emily is a trained marine mammal medic; she is trained to rescue seals, dolphins and whales and so far, attended rescues for 3 seal pups and 2 adult seals.
Outside of work Emily loves to help out on the family farm, lambing sheep, feeding cows and walking their 8 dogs!
KAYLA FLANNERY
Client and Animal Care
Kayla has a love for animals and is passionate about caring for them. Kayla obtained her BSc degree in Animal Biology and Conservation and recently completed her Veterinary Nursing Assistant training in 2022.
Kayla has 3 cats at home; Nala, Peanut and Tab, and is second mom to her best friend’s dog Loki, with whom she enjoys local fell walks with friends and family. Kayla is well travelled, enjoys meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, food and the beautiful landscapes other countries have to offer.

Meet Linda, our Client Care team member. Having grown up on a working farm in St Bees, she has always had a love of animals. Along with walking Hendrix, her Border Collie, Linda is trying to pass on her love of walking in the fells and the beautiful Cumbrian coast to her three children and stays sane by playing the guitar and piano.

Sophie, another Scot, qualified from Edinburgh University in 2020. Sophie is passionate about her work & loves to work on those complex cases. In Sophie’s spare time, she enjoys exploring Cumbria with her partner & has a cat called Sprog who loves cuddling and playing with his toys.

Client Care
Brought up in West Cumbria, Faye has a love for the outdoors and has previously worked on local farms, particularly during lambing time.
Faye enjoys fell walking, socialising with friends, exploring new places and currently an active member of the local Drigg Young Farmers.
AMY FAZZARALO
Veterinary Nurse
Amy qualified as a registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018 having worked in both America and the Midlands in the UK.
Amy is also a qualified Canine Myotherapist providing specialist massage and rehabilitation through functional exercises. Amy is currently undergoing further study in looking at better treatment options for arthritis to help improve the quality of life of older pets.
Having recently moved to Cumbria for a quieter way of life, when not working Amy is looking forward to exploring her new home with her family.

Mia has a keen interest in Animal Management & completed her L3 Diploma at Newton Rigg. In Mia’s spare time she loves walking in the Lakeland fells and lake swimming with her 9 year old Sprocker Oreo. Mia also enjoys caring for her many small furries including chinchillas, rats and mice!

Naomi is a fully qualified RVN and has recently moved up here from Kent. Naomi has come to the right place, she loves all forms of arts and crafts, wild swimming and is looking forward to getting stuck into Cumbrian life & tackle the Lake District fells!

Brought up in West Cumbria, Natalie makes the most of the local fells enjoying long walks with her 2 Labradors Marley and Leo. Natalie loves to spend time with her friends and family and when the weather permits, you will find her paddleboarding on the local lakes.

Joanne is from sunny Singapore and her dream of becoming a veterinarian started when she was 12. Joanne obtained a diploma in Veterinary Technology before graduating from the University of Glasgow to fulfill her dream of becoming a veterinary surgeon. She loves all things hands on and is particularly interested in surgery and dentistry. Joanne is excited to explore the vast nature the Lake District has to offer after living in cities for most of her life.

Katie is from Dublin and graduated from the University College Dublin. Katie enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with a particular interest in emergency care and anaesthesia.
In Katie’s spare time she enjoys exploring nature, particularly cold water swimming & the Lakeland fells. Katie loves to travel & visit new places.

Leah moved North from London to be back with family. Leah has a love for all animals & has aspired to care for them from a young age. Outside of studying Leah looks after her cat Patch and Lucky and Honey the chihuahuas as well as 6 horses. Leah also enjoys walking and exploring the area.
