What Is a Health Check for Puppies and Kittens?
A health check is a full veterinary examination tailored to young pets. It ensures your new companion is healthy, developing properly, and protected against common risks.
We recommend their first health check between 6–8 weeks of age, with follow-up visits for:
- Vaccinations
- Microchipping
- Weight checks, flea and worm treatment
- Diet and behaviour advice
Our vets will create a personalised care plan based on your pet’s breed, lifestyle, and future needs.

Starting early means fewer surprises and more peace of mind for you. Early vet checks help us:

- If they’ve had vaccinations or worming already, bring a record
- Try not to feed them a big meal just before their visit
